Racking your brain for something to do this New Year's Eve? Various Houston restaurants have released their plans for the end of year party, and even options for the day after!
New Year's Eve Options:
800 Bagby, Suite 400 (in the Hobby Center)
Bring in New Year's Eve with Houston Press' Best Latin Band, Walter Suhr and Mango Punch. The rate is $145 per person plus tax and includes a four course meal, three drink tickets plus a champagne toast, party favors, and prizes. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the live entertainment will start at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m.
9705 Westheimer @ Gessner
Celebrate New Year's Eve with Mary Frometa featuring Mary's band and DJ Kasanova. The rate is $75 per person plus tax and includes a three course meal, two drink tickets plus a champagne toast, party favors, and prizes. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the live entertainment will start at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m.
RA Sushi CITYCENTRE
Roll into 2012 with a bang at RA Sushi CITYCENTRE’s New Year’s Eve Party. Enjoy local favorite, DJ Kaito, as he spins the latest hits and savor delicious New Year’s themed food and drink specials. 8PM until close. Start your night off with RA food specials, including the Tootsy Maki ($5), Crunchy Calamari ($5), Shishito Peppers ($5) and Crispy Spicy Shrimp ($8). Guests can also enjoy a variety of drink specials, such as the Midnight Kiss ($8), a dragonberry rum muddled with fresh berries, raspberry liqueur and fresh juices; the “RA”solution Cocktail ($8), Skyy Vodka mixed with Nigori Sake, strawberry purée, fresh citrus and a splash of cranberry; or the Sapporo/Sapporo Light and Sake ($6), a traditional sake with the option to add apple, mango, melon or raspberry flavor ($1).
The Tasting Room (TTR)
Both Houston locations (Uptown Park and CityCentre) will be bringing in 2012 with a bang! Come out for a night filled with delicious wine, delectable light bites from Chef Steve's team and dance the night away to the sounds of Sam Raad Trio! At midnight, they will bring in the new year without a balloon drop & a special Champagne toast for all! Tickets are $50 per person and available for purchase from your TTR server. Hotel Sorella – New Year’s Eve 2011
There is no better place to ring in the New Year than CITYCENTRE on December 31 with an array of happenings slated by its many acclaimed restaurants and lounges. Beginning at 8:30 pm the excitement builds in the plaza with an exciting, interactive music and lighting set from DJ Kevin Friddell, capped off as the clock strikes 12 with a fantastic fireworks show.
CITYCENTRE’s luxe Hotel Sorella is proud to present three special packages for New Year’s Eve. Priced at $249 per couple, excluding tax and gratuities, the “Quite the Night” package includes overnight accommodations and access for two to the private New Year’s Eve party at Hotel Sorella’s posh Monnalisa bar, where guests will enjoy live music from the Norma Zenteno Band, a prime view of the plaza festivities, plus a balloon drop and champagne toast.
