2012 marked yet another strong showing for Messina Hof Winery, which proudly received a total of 59 awards for its wine alone in a number of wine competitions across the state and beyond.
Among those awards, Messina Hof was named "Top All-Around Winery" at the 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) Uncorked! International Wine Competition. Messina Hof is the first-ever Texas winery to receive this prestigious title. With 24 additional wins, Messina Hof's “"op Wine Company" title is based on its greatest number of wines submitted winning the highest number of awards.
The 2013 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Wine Competition brought yet another honorable title for Messina Hof with "Best of Herd" or Best Texas Winery. This award is based on the Texas Winery which has the greatest number of wines receiving the highest number of awards.
Other 2012 wine competition wins for Messina Hof Winery include: 2012 Lone Star International Wine Competition (12 awards), 2012 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (seven awards), 2012 Dallas Wine Competition (five awards) and 2012 GrapeFest Awards (four awards).
