Sleep in and wake up just in time for the new weekend brunch at Sugar Land’s BLU, where Bangkok-born chef/owner, Junnajet “Jett” Hurapan, has created a    destination dining experience with Euro-Asian cuisine for Saturday and Sunday brunch in Town Square.  Soaring ceilings and walls of windows opening to an expansive patio create and light and airy backdrop for a menu that focuses on classic, delicious favorites including buttermilk, blueberry and banana pancakes; French toast capped with fresh bananas; a wide assortment of omelettes and quiches; plus the standout Crab Cake Benedict ($9) with mouthwatering pieces of crab meat, spinach and tomatillo salsa. Each entrée is served with your choice of a complimentary mimosa, Bloody Mary, 429 Iced Tea, or Cucumber Lemonade.  For a wider selection of cocktails, mixologist Todd Leveritt, has designed an Apothecary Drink Menu including a Hair of The Dog section, with Bloody Mary, Gin Rickey, Le Roi Zombi, Blinker,Dark n' Stormy, Cucumber Lemonade, Purple Mule, Tequila Sunrise and Skeeny Bellini ($9).  On the lighter side, Leveritt introduces Catharsis or "purging"section--a collection of fresh, raw, non-alchoholic juice cocktails, including: Pepino Limon, with cucumber, lime and soda; Tears of Gypsy, wheatgrass,barley grass and watermelon; Catharsis, celery, berries, Asian pear and beet ($7). The coming months will also introduce Dim Sum to the offerings.  Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm.
