Ready. Steady. Carb out! With only a few weeks left until the Chevron Marathon on January 15th, athletes will be scouring the city for the best places to fuel up on starches for race day. Many local restaurants are offering some special "Carb Loading" deals  for runners the night before and after run.

Runners looking to carb-load prior to the race can find a wide selection at TQLA on Washington,  prepared by Chef Tommy Birdwell.  The restaurant will be offering marathon runners 20% off their entire bill (excluding happy hour specials and alcoholic beverages) on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Sunday, Jan. 15 only. Chef Birdwell will also be featuring a special Marathon dish—Fettuccine, with grilled chicken, asparagus, roasted corn, red and yellow peppers, sweet potatoes, smoked tomato cream and queso fresco.
